First Light

Talk about suffering for your art!  I reached new levels of dedication to my photography and fell out of bed at 3:30am to drive down to Balmoral, to help out my mate Vinnie put together something special.  You will have to check his blog to see the results of his shoot: http://www.wix.com/vincentchoy/photography But what I have for you here is my behind the scenes pics of his shoot as well as some of my own shots of the spectacular dawn.
It was a really special morning and definately worth the effort!  The light was beautiful, I would have to say that watching the sun come up over the beach is something everyone should do at least once in their life! I'm so inspired that I'm already planning a dawn raid of my own sometime this summer!

Taken moments well before sunrise.  My camera has picked up a faint glow on the horizon, but this isn't visible in reality.  Everything is so perfectly still and calm.  Surprising amount of people up and about though! The wharf has a dozen fisherman with lines in the water and the cafes on the strip behind me are already preparing for the day.

A little grainier than I would like, but it's still pretty special, this was the exact moment the sun appeared behind the heads.

Strangely, I didn't think this shot was very good when I took it!

And now for something totally new and foreign to my blog: People. Real, live humans!  What really goes on at a photoshoot!

Thanks again to Vince, Daria and Sophia, it was a great time!
